The Yamaha YDP 165 Digital Piano offers incredible realism in its feel and performance. Featuring the soundset of a painstakingly sampled Yamaha CFX piano - Yamaha's flagship concert grand - the YDP 165 uses cutting edge resonance modelling and an intelligent physical cabinet design to recreate the natural vibrancy and reverberation that you would experience when playing an acoustic grand piano. The digital and physical design of this piano combine to beautifully showcase both the sonorous lows and the sparkling highs of the fantastically well-recorded concert grand. 

The 88-key, graded hammer-action keyboard perfectly captures the expression and control of a real grand piano, where the action shifts from heavier to lighter as you move up the keyboard. The YDP 165's GH3 keyboard provides a grand-style feel and response, allowing for rapid note repetition and ultimate expressive control. Modern features such as the Stereophonic Optimizer and Intelligent Acoustic Control allow for a perfect balance and sound at all volumes and whilst using headphones.

LIMITING THE MAXIMUM VOLUME
A new Volume Limiter function lets you set a fixed maximum volume level, to protect your hearing from loud sound over the speakers or headphones.
RECORD AND PLAY BACK YOUR PERFORMANCES
The YDP-165 has powerful tools that let you record and check your performances, or record a part with just one hand and practice the other part while listening along to the first. Moreover, you can record two parts separately—for example, the left- and right-hand parts, or record two Voices in succession to make a complete song and arrangement.
PLAY ALONG WITH A PARTNER – IN THE SAME OCTAVE
This effectively makes the instrument two keyboards in one, letting two players play the same piano sound and octave range side-by-side. This is especially useful when learning with a partner, letting you learn and practice parts together.
